Dear Italo-imbibers,

As you see, we don't write to you often, only when we have really noteworthy information.

First the wines:
We now have all the new wines in, among which:

The Silvano Follador Prosecco Spumantes are in. We now stock the Valdobbiadine Superiore di Cartizze Natur Brut, Charmat method, and his Valdobbiadine Prosecco Superiore Dosaggio Zero 2010, which is a Metodo Classico (Methode Champenoise), it really is "0" sugars. There is no finer Prosecco, and it's biodynamic to boot!

The fabulous Villa Pacina, produced only 2300 bottles, an incomparable Tuscan of great depth and substance.

Kappa, a blend from the northern coast, has more grapes than anything on our list, 9 to be exact. Inky dark, rich and luscious. It's an estate crushing grapes by treading, and they use a horse in the vineyards. Biodynamic, beat for quality any super-Tuscan of greater fame.

Scurtarola, we got three wines, their Vermentino from Northern Tuscany, a structured, barriques beauty of rigorous structure, their addictive Gocce di Pietra, lusciously aromatic flavours of dried apricots, and white peach, with plenty of acidity and minerality, both with a good dose of sapidity.
Their unique Vernero, made from black Vermentino, yes, look it up. Similar look but different grapes.

Veneri Vecchio, a biodynamic estate from near Naples, following tradition in cultivating a mix of grapes in each vineyard, not filtered not fined not fertilised not temperature controlled... they have a semi-interred cellar made of local Tuff, so it's pretty cool and humid without any controls.

From Liguria: Cantine Bregante, going since 1887, they used to ply the coast on skips, and unload by throwing the barrels in the sea! Vermentino Golfo del Tigullio, a light, fresh white laced with sea air and salt. Bianchetta Genovese, a local grape variety, barriqued and sapid.

Our wines will be stocked at the re-launched
