Gagliasso - PIEDMONT

Mario Gagliasso began his career as vine-grower at the beginning of the '70 working in his father's winery. At the end of the '80 Mario Gagliasso took over the paternal winery and changed it very deeply, first of all the name of the winery was changed into "Azienda Agricola Mario Gagliasso". The ageing cellar was enlarged and the wine making techniques were updated through the introduction of stainless steel tank thermo conditioned and the use of barriques. New vineyards were planted while others were replanted again. The Azienda Agricola Gagliasso is characterized by the production of wine of extraordinary quality, such as Barbera, Langhe Nebbiolo, Dolcetto d'Alba, Langhe Chardonnay, but the Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata is certainly its best wine. This Barolo is obtained exclusively from grapes of the historical sub-region "Rocche dell'Annunziata", one of the areas where grow the best vineyards planted with Nebbiolo for Barolo. The vocation of this soil together with the care and the respect for tradition produce a Barolo king, the cru whose name is Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata.
